Dear Members and Friends:

Welcome to our website. Lusitano Club of California is a 501(c)4 non profit Macanese organization which has grown to our current membership of 700 plus members since our inception in 1984. Our mission is to promote, educate, and preserve our unique Portuguese Macanese heritage, culture and heritage.

We are one of the three Macanese clubs in the United States, each providing a diversity of social and cultural events, serving our Macanese community in the Bay Area. We are also joined by other Macanese clubs around the world working in unity for the same purpose. We have a variety of events planned each year with a heavy emphasis in family and youth participation as the youths are the future of our existence.

In 2000, we were granted $2 million from Macau for the establishment of a Cultural Center to be used by our three Macanese Clubs in USA. In 2005, we established the Macau Cultural Center represented by Casa de Macau, Lusitano, and UMA to oversee this task. A building was purchased in historical Niles Fremont California in August 2005. After years of extensive renovations to serve our needs, the renovation was completed in January 2011. On May 7, 2011, we celebrated the Grand Opening of our building, the first Macanese Center in the United States to serve our members and community.

If you are interested to find out more about our club and your Macanese heritage, please contact us.

Sincerely,
Maria C. Roliz
President
